Review N.3: Dr. Scholl's® For Her Ball of Foot

I figure I've hopped on the review train tonight, so I might as well keep going. Now I'm going to review the Dr. Scholl's® For Her Ball of Foot insoles that I got in my Something Blue Voxbox from Influenster.

Now the packaging says that these insoles help prevent ball of foot pain, and from my experience with this product, that is the truth. I didn't wear them in heels except for a short period of time, but I do wear them in my Sperry's, which I wear to work every day. I'm on my feet a lot at work, and before these insoles, I would get home and my feet would hurt so bad that I'd have to bribe my brother to massage them for me. A lot of this pain was actually in the balls of my feet. I guess that's because of the way I stand, or something like that. I'm not really sure. Also, depending on the socks I wore, I would sometimes get blisters on the balls of my feet. Once Influenster sent me this product, I was really excited to try them.

Once trying them, I was not disappointed. These insoles helped my feet SO.MUCH. I now wear them every day, in almost every pair of shoes. But my favorite use of them is definitely for work. No need to have my brother massage my feet anymore. They somehow seem to massage my feet with every step I take. They don't stick to my feet, so they don't get pulled out every time I take off my shoes. However, they still manage to keep my feet from slipping forward while wearing heels. The only problem that I have with this product is that the bottom isn't quite sticky enough for me. Then again, I've moved them around between different pairs of shoes several times, so I guess that's to be expected. But I'm definitely going to be buying a pair to put inside all of my closed toe shoes and all of my heels. They're so worth the money.

I would definitely recommend these insole to anyone who spends long amounts of time on their feet. Or even if you're planning on going to an event where you'll be wearing heels for a few hours, invest in a pair of these. You won't regret it!

Again, I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Review N.2: Q-tips® Precision Tips

Today I'm reviewing another product I received in my Something Blue Voxbox from Influenster... The Q-tip Precision Tips!

I do have to say, this was probably one of my favorite products from Influenster so far. The Q-tips® Precision Tips differs from a regular Q-tip in that it has pointed ends instead of rounded ends. Now when I say pointed, I don't mean sharp, so it's not like it will cut you or anything. But these ends allow you to be more precise in what you're using the Q-tip for (hence the name Precision Tip).

Although the ends are pointed, they are rather durable. They hold their shape when you press them against something, which is awesome. The ends are slightly rough though, so I wouldn't imagine they'd be good for babies. But I guess they have to be a little more firm to keep them from losing their shape when you use them. The texture wasn't an issue for me, though.

These Q-tips Precision Tips have so many uses. Some that I've found so far include:
  • Fixing nail polish mistakes
  • Fixing eye makeup mistakes
  • Applying lip products
  • Cleaning out the keyboard on my laptop
  • Cleaning out small crevices on my phone
  • Cleaning in between the buttons on the television remote
  • Removing nastiness from my pets' nostrils or the corners of their eyes
  • Cleaning the corners of the floors, where nothing else can seem to clean
Those are just some things you can use the Q-tips Precision Tips for. There's like, a million more.

If you'd like to see what's up in the Q-tip world, you can visit their website by clicking HERE. And again, I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Review N.1: Kiss® everEZlashes

So here's my first review! I'm going to be reviewing the Kiss® everEZlashes that I received complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes. First, here is the video of me putting them on:

Now, I after trying very hard, I DID get the lid back on the glue, so you CAN use it again. That's good, considering the packages I got each come with two pairs.

To get to the review part.
  • First off...the lashes were rather hard to get off of the pink plastic package it came in. I tried using both my fingers and the pink lash applicator that came with the lashes to pull them off, but it was difficult either way. That caused me to mess up the left eyelashes a little. That is one thing I would definitely change about this product.
  • I really liked how easy the glue was to apply. The one time that I have worn fake eyelashes in the past, I had to squeeze the glue out of the tube directly onto the eyelash strip, which was somewhat hard. But the glue that comes with the product has a brush-like stick, but without the brush part, that makes it easy to put on the lashes.
  • The applicator was really helpful in holding the lashes while putting them on. The only thing I would change about it is that I would make it a little longer. The part that holds the eyelashes was only about half the length of my eye, so I was able to make sure half of the lash strip was put on where I wanted it to go. The other half, however, just kind of went where it wanted to. If you noticed in my video, I had to fix part of the lashes on both eyes. The part I had to fix was the part that wasn't held by the applicator.
  • Once the lashes were put on, I let them dry for a while. Afterwards, I put on some eye makeup. This pulled the eyelashes off slightly, so I had to re-glue the ends of them on again. I think if you tried to put the lashes on after putting on eye makeup, it might not stick as well. However, I have yet to try that. Once I fixed the lashes though, they stayed on pretty well, even with makeup.
  • The lashes were kind of uncomfortable. Maybe that's just me, because I'm not used to wearing fake lashes, but I could feel them the whole time I had them on. My eyelids felt slightly stiff, which I wasn't a fan of. Maybe that's just something that takes getting used to, but in my experience, it was rather irritating.
Over all, the Kiss everEZlashes were pretty cool. I definitely don't think it's something I'd want to wear everyday, though. However, I would consider them for special occasions. They did look good while on, and I'd imagine they'd make your eyelashes more visible in photos. I think they're decently priced for what you get ($4.98 for a duo pack).

If you're interested in looking at the Kiss website, you can find it HERE. They make more than eyelashes... They've got nail products, cosmetic items, and hair tools.

Intro

Hey guys! I'm Tessa. Some of you may already read my other blog. If not, you can find it here. I've created another blog, solely for reviews. I'm a part of a program called Influenster, and they send me free full size products to try and review. So I'll be creating posts with my full reviews on those products, as well as other products that I receive in samples, from my work, or that I buy to try. So I hope everyone enjoys reading!
